John Dory on Tour is the little sister to John Dory fish restaurant on the Prinsengracht 999 in Amsterdam.

The Concept

The idea of John Dory on Tour was born one memorable evening with good friends, good food and good wine. We (Arjen and Laura) were doing what we love the most, giving our good friends a beautiful evening to remember in our home. After a standing ovation, numerous full stomachs and many glasses of wine, we knew that we wanted to do this more often. And so, the idea of John Dory on Tour was born….

John Dory fish restaurant

Since 2016 we (Arjan and Laura) have been running John Dory fish restaurant with our fantastic team. A fish restaurant in which we only serve fish from the North Sea, prepared and cooked with the love and attention it deserves. Our restaurant has become a popular place to eat in Amsterdam and John Dory is now known and frequented by many. We have a number of regular guests who are always asking us;

"Can't you come to mine and prepare a fantastic dinner there?"

So, we took them seriously and now we can say “Yes we’d love to!”
